The College Section of Intelligence Quotient Academy is a dynamic academic stage that includes both the Junior Secondary School (JSS) and the Senior Secondary School (SSS). It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education that fosters academic excellence, practical skills, and strong moral values.

Junior Secondary School (JSS)

The Junior Secondary level builds on foundational knowledge acquired in the Primary Section and introduces students to a broader curriculum. Subjects include core areas such as Mathematics, English, Basic Science, Basic Technology, Social Studies, Arabic, Qur’an Studies, Computer Studies, Civic Education, Physical and Health Education (P.H.E), Hausa, and IRS (Islamic Religious Studies).

Emphasis is placed on literacy, numeracy, scientific exploration, and character development, with students exposed to a variety of instructional methods including project-based learning, group tasks, and interactive lessons supported by classroom projectors and modern teaching resources.

Senior Secondary School (SSS)

At the Senior Secondary level, students are guided into academic specialization through our well-structured STEM-based departmental system, which includes:

Science Department – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, etc.
Technology Department – Computer Studies, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Auto-mechanics, etc.
Business Department – Economics, Accounting, Commerce, etc.
Humanities Department – Government, Literature in English, Civic Education, Arabic, Qur’an, Hausa, etc.

    This format allows students to deepen their understanding in areas aligned with their career goals while maintaining a solid grounding in core subjects.

    Our Laboratories

    Physics Laboratory

    Equipped with modern apparatus, the Physics Lab provides students with hands-on experience to explore concepts in mechanics, electricity, optics, and thermodynamics.

    Chemistry Laboratory

    This lab offers a safe and well-ventilated environment for students to conduct chemical experiments, observe reactions, and understand the principles of matter and its interactions.

    Biology Laboratory

    The Biology Lab is stocked with models, microscopes, specimens, and charts to help students explore the wonders of living organisms. It fosters curiosity and deepens understanding of life sciences.

    Qur’an Laboratory

    A unique spiritual space designed to enhance Qur’anic studies through guided memorization, recitation, and digital tools that aid in Tajwīd and Tilawa. It blends traditional learning with modern support systems.

    Home Economics Laboratory

    Here, students gain practical knowledge in cooking, sewing, budgeting, and home management. The workshop is equipped with kitchenettes, sewing machines, and household tools to promote self-reliance and life skills.

    Fine Art Workshop

    This creative space allows students to express themselves through drawing, painting, sculpture, and craft. It is designed to inspire imagination and develop artistic skills using a variety of media.

    Technical Workshop

    Focused on technical and vocational training, the Mechanical Workshop introduces students to basic mechanical tools, auto-mechanics, and maintenance procedures. It nurtures problem-solving and mechanical reasoning.
